I bought these last year, my brother. I also have one for me, and I’m in my 30 years. I waited until spring to send your certificate of larva. They came in their little container just enough to eat. No need to enter them nothing. I tried to put food such as plant leaves, they want to eat in the wild, but chose the food with them. I think I have six larvae, and they all turned into butterflies. I let one or two days when they are raised. Children are completely fascinated by the process of a caterpillar and a butterfly enclosure. One word of warning that can not be the best thing to get for Christmas, because you have to wait until spring for the larvae. They send them in winter, but I do not want the butterflies to die on me or freeze to death if they go.

I bought my kit at age 5, but my 3-year wound up loving it as much like a mother. Larvae arrive in sealed packages with everything you need – you have to follow them. A week after we placed the cocoon and the environment and hatched five beautiful butterflies. Moreover, they began to eggs within a few days before you know it, we had dozens of small caterpillars little baby! Of course, we release them outside (I’m not mistake farmer), and enjoyed the painted lady butterflies in late summer. This series, if my kids with a wonderful, exciting learning experience that they will never forget!

We have established butterfly garden kids, and you’re probably already read the other posts, they loved it. What surprised me most was how delighted I found it * self. All 5 larvae significantly increased pace and the five become attractive butterflies – the surprise is just how I got calls for children to watch and work when I called to take a look at them. They are the best pet I ever had one month! No muss, no noise – and what a great experience, even though she-male, butterfly-Pu pooin “father.

My son received a butterfly garden as a birthday present. We were out of town, so called, maggots will be sent later. They came to the exact date requested! The larvae are very small on the first day, but grew so quickly that I wondered if we could actually watch them grow before our eyes (and it certainly looked that way)! It lasted only one week chrysalides form, and only one week butterflies hatch. There is no need for feeding larvae (they arrive in the tank throughout the food chain) – all children need to do is watch them! My son and daughter both woke up in the morning and come running to tell me how many feet were larvae. Then they watched them form chrysalides coming, and yet I saw them every day until they are hatched. Date released butterflies, my son looked at me and said: “I will miss the beautiful butterflies! … Mom, can I get more?”

  5. I am a student in fifth grade class studying, and I noticed that the butterfly garden is the perfect topic in scientific journals and charts. We looked at five categories metamorphasize butterflies for about a month. Since writing exercise, I asked each of my students to write again for butterfly habitat. Here’s what it says: “I loved watching the stages of butterflies. I liked watching butterflies flying around.” “It seems that the butterflies are close, but I like it because it is the sunlight on them. This is a good environment.” I love butterflies because they are fun to watch, and they are beautiful. I learned a lot about butterflies. “We raise butterflies watching them grow and seeing them move caterpillar and butterfly.” One even wrote: “I like butterflies because I think it’s a good learning experience. Butterflies are very beautiful and I love butterflies, as well as before they went their cocoons in my head to come!” As you can see, the children really enjoyed their metamorphosis in the classroom. I do not think they will never forget watching butterflies grow, so they really remember the stages of butterfly metamorphosis. Overall, I would also like to criticize many habitats. I was afraid that the larvae take a long time to come but they came less than a week after sending a postcard pre-addressed with a request to be sent. (That was in February), the habitat is not as strong as could be, but clearly sides with the observation made easy when so many children wanted to see inside. A teacher I work with was kind enough to feed the butterflies every day, and it seems to work pretty sticky! (Butterfly normal eating sugar water.) Feeding once out of their cocoons is a bit messy. It is incredibly easy to bring these butterflies. Although 21 students and pushing them peering into their habitat, butterflies, all five have done. Fifth grade highly recommend this easy to build, fun-to-watch science.
